Travel With Character® is a boutique agency planning exceptional vacations around the world, from custom international journeys and cruises to luxury resorts and family adventures. We believe great travel planning is personal: it takes expertise, attention to detail, and a genuine understanding of each client.
We’re looking for independent advisors who share that approach, including experienced advisors with established businesses who want a more connected agency home. Here, you can build your business with hands-on mentorship and a small team where you know the people behind the support.
Lauren’s mentorship program, along with the process of getting set up with suppliers, was seamless and was more valuable than I could ever ask for. All of the advisors on the team are so supported and cared for - both by Lauren and by each other. We cheer each other on, answer each other’s questions, and have the BEST time together on our team Zoom calls and when we’re together in person for FAM trips. About the opportunity
Our advisors are independent contractors who operate their own businesses under the Travel With Character® brand. You set your own schedule, provide your own equipment and business tools, and take the lead in developing your client relationships and sales.
This is a business-building opportunity. Agency leads may occasionally be available, but advisors are primarily responsible for finding and serving their own clients. You can develop a specialty that fits your interests while following the agency’s standards for client care.
Training for new advisors
Applicants who are new to the industry may be invited to complete our training program before being considered for an independent contractor agreement.
The program combines recorded lessons, supplier education, and discussions over Zoom. It introduces the tools, processes, and service approach we use at Travel With Character®.
Training takes up to 60 days and may include a small group of fellow applicants.
The program is offered by invitation and requires a $350 investment. Completing it does not guarantee an independent contractor opportunity; we use the training period to determine whether the relationship is a good fit for both sides.

Personal mentorship: One-on-one communication with Founder Lauren Quirk to talk through client situations, business growth, and the decisions that come with running your own travel business.

Support with planning fees: We encourage advisors to charge for their expertise and help them develop the confidence and approach to do so. The agency handles client invoicing for planning fees to comply with Seller of Travel laws (specifically CA, WA, FL).

Optional technology at team rates: Advisors may choose to join our shared CRM and itinerary platform at discounted group rates. Doing so will grant access to our workflows, email templates, itinerary planning tips, and other resources developed through our client work.

Supplier and industry connections: Established relationships, educational opportunities, and Travel Leaders Network resources.

Vetted travel partners: Access to our network of more than 70 vetted travel partners, including tour operators, destination management companies (DMCs), and other specialists who help bring complex trips to life.

A small, connected team: Team calls, mentorship, and fellow advisors to learn from and collaborate with.

Agency benefits: Use of the Travel With Character® brand under your agreement, access to the agency’s E&O coverage, and applicable seller of travel licensing/bonding.

CLIA eligibility: The opportunity to obtain an individual CLIA card once you meet its requirements.
